Motions need to be locked after some period of time after the vote has been made – maybe once the meeting is over. Thus preventing a motion from being changed after the vote is over.

This makes perfect sense. There's a tension between allowing corrections and keeping the official record. Locking votes and motion disposition seems quite reasonable though.
